A Personal Best 15K and a 5K with an Olympian

On Saturday it was sunny and 19 degrees.

The Bank s Financial Group Run at Charlottetown area on the 5km loop.

I made the top 10 and under 20 minutes and came in 9th out of 56 runners and time of 19:29.

Stephen Baglole won the race and Kara Grant a two time Olympian who completes in Modern Pentathlon in Athens and Beijing for the top female.

Sunday it was cloudy and raining and 19 degrees.

The Rotary Run For Mikinduri at Stradford and Tea Hill.

The 15km course are hills and houses.

At 3km mark I saw Camp Gencheff, a summer camp when I young.

I made the top 10 and came in 5th out of 44 runners and time of 1:06:32 and a personal best by almost three minutes.

Tyler Sellar won the race and Pat Ellis for the top female.

In 5K Steven Reeves won the 5k race and Amy Boswall for top female.

Thank you everyone for a great race!!

We can't tell you how grateful we are to see such a turnout this morning, both runners and volunteers, in what was definitely less-than-ideal weather. You all were just superb and your support is what made the first Rotary Run for Mikinduri possible. Preliminary figures show that we raised over $2,000 for the Children of Mikinduri and that's just the mark we'll have to beat next year. Of course, we will try to secure some better weather ...

We hope you all had a fun time today. We'll post times and pictures to the website in the next week, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, stay dry, don't stand under anything metal while it's lightning out .. and keep running.
